So far, the biggest downside of this book is the fantasy world-building learning curve. I can't keep all of the neighboring kingdoms, noble family names, landmark names, etc straight in my head.

If I had to name a “day one” author, it would be Cassandra Clare. I am very curious about this book, and worst-case scenario, this will kick off a re-read of my favorite books of hers.
