So many authors attempt the Gulf of Ages, Erikson nails it. The world feels old, big, unruly, and real. Rather than the world being a backdrop to the novel, the action depicted is clearly just some things which happened in a living world. There are other stories elsewhere and it's brilliant. Not for those who dislike being lost.

The library is taking this back. Note to self: Book 4.
