It's pretty entertaining, I haven't been bored yet. Rice's prose is always a sack full of word syrup, but this one isn't no where near as bad as The Witching Hour (which is like Falcon Crest with witches)

It’s not one I’m in a hurry to read, my library has it so it’s there when I fancy it.
Witching Hour is way too long. My copy is Mass Market paperback and it was over 1200 pages, The story is good but it's full of fluff and nonsense. This one is 600 pages and I can deal with that.
