I loved the movie We Were Soldiers. So that led me to reading the book: “We Were soldiers Once”. I wouldn’t have understood the book if I had not seen the movie several times. I also adored “The Women” so when this recommended to me (a civilian working in army hospitals) I thought I was going to love it, but this is a struggle to get through & the only reason I plan on finishing it is because I paid for it.
