Liked: Fast/easy read, the rebellion camp felt warm and welcoming & the story premise is strong. I also like the soft hearted FMC
Why I DNF'ed: it reads much younger than the epic fantasy/open-door spice marketing suggests. The prose is simple & characters sound "similar," so what should've felt heavy just didnt.
I feel like with a little more fleshing out, it would have great potential.
