I’d ask how promiscuity decreases infanticide.

Great question. Because males of a lot of species will kill infants of other males to force nursing mothers back into heat so they can mate them again faster to pass on their own genes. But if you fuck all the males in the area before you get pregnant, then he’ll think your baby might already be his baby. So he won’t kill your baby.
