100 pages in and nothing meaningful seems to have happened so far outside of the setup - the closest thing we have had to any development for our main characters was some weird morning wood scene and learning that the main dude is afraid of heights, i'm starting to get frustrated

The recent few chapters have been such a nose dive, the entire last third of the book needed re-editing badly to prune it because this sluggish pace goes beyond purpose. Alice gets stuck in a trap, finds out she wants to live, Alice gets stuck in another trap, finds out she wants to live, rinse and repeat.
