Ok, I kinda love them now. Book is totally flawed (save babies anyone?) but I love Tanner for how he loves Belle. Their rushed engagement is about how they are both crazy (not just her) and he’s head over heels for her. I like the proposal and the charity stuff too, him advancing beyond football. This is a 3.5 star read but rounding down because — yeah. Good references back to other London Lovers characters.

This “saves babies” thing is highly annoying. Author — get an MD consultant! It’s not hard to not sound stupid.

Going ok. Like other book, no deep trauma here, so him being a player is just a choice. She’s actually ok with agreement but doesn’t take being disrespected as a friend. I don’t like that she calls herself crazy (feeds into stereotype of women) and he says he likes crazy girls (what? If he does, she’s playing into the same type he “shags and bags”). They seem suited to actually date but not love.

I like this better and voice acting doesn’t sound smarmy. However, it is rinse and repeat of last book. Manwhore footballer who has to take a month off from playing (suspension for bad public behavior vs injury). I hope the fake dating is fun with other doctor from book 1, Belle Ryan (another rich girl with bad parents). Overkill she “hates” him just because he turned her down before, so torture idea is dumb.
