I am aware that The Iliad is known for it poetic depth and the amount of layers that can be peeled back and studied. A thorough read like that is not my aim in this current read-through, but just from a casual readers vantage point, I feel very strongly that this book is describing to me the various forms of masculinity, and what it can consistently look like in jts most honest forms.
