So the Introduction by CMM adds some depth to this novel that is actually extremely interesting. It takes the "boooo straight cis man writing about lesbians" and adds on "boooo straight cis man STOLE A REAL TRAGIC LESBIAN STORY AND TRANSFORMED IT INTO A VAMPIRE NOVEL TO SHAME(?) // VILIFY(?) LESBIANS" Like whoa! Maybe shame/vilify wasn't the right verb there but I can't think of the correct one rn. Anyway, wow
