this book slaps

i think the second section on spinoza was done really well - lots of paragraphs that i wanted to take a pen to and just underline

i think the hannah arendt plotline had the most emotionality for me. i'm enjoying du fu, but i feel like there's a bit of psychic distance? it's not bad to have it, but i think a closer distance would potentially work more with this story
