(spoiler) i really didn't think winterson would be able to top the peccadillo sex club scene but now I can confidently say the best scene in this book is of a decapitated robot head performing cunnilingus on someone for the first time and gaining enlightenment from the act before being punished like a dog, and the extremely funny sequence of dialogue that ensues after.
