A cross between Glass Castle & House in the Sky. Why do Memoirs have to be so self- indulgent? Or perhaps the better question is why do I keep choosing to read them. I'm only on page 82 and 3 times noticed the author used "had had" in a sentence. It's enjoyable enough so I'll keep going...
