Noni opened her jaws, unhinging them as if she were about to swallow them whole. Her fangs, two immense tapered incisors in each head, curved down, dropping out of her upper jaw. A mixture of venom and saliva dripped from those fangs. It was all incredibly fascinating.

i let my friend read a page (it was one of the most intense pages so far, because of course it was) of this it was kinda (very) dark lol she was like no way am i ever reading this. when i said i enjoyed it she looked at me like girl wtf is wrong with u (lots)
so yeah. very dark and extremely gory but i love the story and the book in general so far

its AMAZING -i couldnt put it down. idk even know why it just- idk. i legit have no idea WHY i cant put it down, yesterday i was at the bookstore i sat down like ok im gonna read til chapter 3 which is like page 26. i ended up reading til chapter 6, page 71... :)
i just felt the urge to keep reading
and the message in this book is also important. its says 14+ which i might've kinda... ignored... but hey, whats one year, am i right.
rick also wrote in the prologue or whatever it delivers a strong message. quite a bit of gore but i dont really mind that. i think its one of the darker books in rick riordan presents, but so far im loving it.
