This novel is getting me over my reading slump. I’ve been a Callas fan for decades, and Goodwin is obviously an admirer, too. I’ve even paused to listen to a couple of recordings, like the 1958 Paris gala that included Act 2 of Tosca (I didn’t know that the first half of the concert included some arias). The concert is recounted in the book. And I had to look up of the story about the diamonds she wore.
