Oh, dear, Di, I'm afraid I didn't like this book at all. I realize I'm pushing against the tide, but it just fell flat for me. Not all books are for all readers, I suppose ...
Have you seen the film adaptation with Claire Foy? I enjoyed that too, although perhaps not quite as much as the book.
