Okay, so I’m enjoying it more now!
It was tough getting back into, but I feel like I had to remind myself how to enjoy these books hahaha.
Merrick was just introduced in TVL ep 6 so thats exciting! I’m curious to see how Claudia’s return differs in the book.
It’s interesting to read about new characters, but I feel it does miss the core of the books (that the main cast).
I also see why people hate David now!

I actually started this book last August/September (2025) so it’s taking me a while to get through it.
*I’m not much of a reader, I’m mainly just going through the Vampire Chronicles!*
The thought of Claudia is getting me through; I’m really intrigued by how Rice will reintroduce her as a ghost, after 4 books!
Undoubtedly it is the typical Rice writing of over-explained story that is making it tough 😅
