Spectacular audiobook performance by Edward G. French!
While listening to this novella, episodes from some of my fave SF TV series, The Outer Limits & The X-Files, flashed in my mind's eye. Also, the theme/trope can be easily recognised in later stories by H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, and others. Seems the stories written by all the fabulous Golden-Age-of-SF authors never really die, they keep getting recycled!
