I feel like this Jack Reacher novel has become self aware. There is ironic humor; where all the bad guys are staying at the same hotel as him by accident, or each level of criminal organization is looking to bump off the one above like it is the opening of The Dark Knight.

So this is John Wick with spousal abuse instead of a dog.
