how (or when) did you find out that you loved to read? was it immediately when you were a kid? was it just a year ago?
what was the book that made you think. “dang, reading is actually fun!!!”

g ⋆˚꩜。 when i was younger i loved reading but fell out of love with it. late last year i started reading The Edge Of Thirteen and it made me realise how fun reading is! i also read agggtm (took me a year but one night i just read it for like three hours and finished it) and that also made me realise how interesting books are!

Jakob Shingler I did like reading when I was younger but I would only read Goosebumps books. Then I kinda fell out of reading for all of middle school and it wasn’t until high school when I read the Percy Jackson series where I found my love for reading. Haven’t looked back since 🤗

siera 🪷! (mitsuki’s vers.) read through every single harry potter book in like 3rd grade and never looked back, i’d always had a high academic reading level but it’s what actually made me enjoy reading

Allan My mom was a huge reader. When I was a baby, she would just read whatever she was reading out loud to me. She also helped me to learn to read long before I started school. I grew up just reading whatever I wanted to from my mom’s library all the time and never really stopped. And now it’s my biggest reminder of her so yeah.

cyd⭐️ I love everyone’s stories!!
for me i used to HATE reading, and i mean that literally, i would be bored to TEARS!
it was only until i became homeschooled and one day i was just bored out of my mind. (i was probably 10 at the time) and i started to look through the book shelf in my room (which funnily enough, the books on that bookshelf weren’t even mine or my sisters 😭, but rather— my moms and my sister who was in highschool???)
so i was looking through it and found this book (Maximum Ride..) which i thought was an “older kids” book, but little me was a rebel and i picked it up anyway and read it in 3 sittings. and now i love reading! i’ve probably read over 500 books in that 6 year span!

ray ৎ ⊹ ࣪ ˖ in kinder i failed my first sight reading test so I started practicing reading by reading Matilda, I started getting a high reading level, 1st grade bc of my reading level i had to read more so I read whatever after, but my first fandom was harry potter and i became a huge book lover after that 💌

WiseGirl (~daughter of Athena~) (~I'd rather be at Camp Half-Blood~) I mean the first REAL thing i read was probably harry potter-- i always loved books, i used to BEG my parents to read me bedtime stories and read tons by myself when i was old enough. harry potter was and is great but i've got to say percy jackson and all of riordan's books made a bigger impact on me. now im also trying classics and stuff, love greek mythology too. but yeah, guess i always had a thing for books. and i also always loved writing assigments (when not about myself) since i was like 8:)

Dede {on summer school semi-hiatus} I have loved reading since I was a toddler, and I just never grew out of it 🤷‍♀️

Drea ✪ i knew i loved it ever since i was a little kid in 4th grade and discovered warrior cats and dork diaries 🥹🥹. I was someone who had ZERO friends back then so I would spend my entire day at school reading whenever I could and trying not to get caught. Got in a lot of trouble sometimes but it was so worth it LMAOOO. Reading was the only thing that brought me joy and im forever grateful for the book series I read that made me who I am today :)
