In a Qudsee Hadeeth, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasalam related that Allah said:
"Those who love one another for My Majesty (for my sake) will have pulpits made of light in the Hereafter; the Prophets and the martyrs will envy them."
And this is Islamic brotherhood which means to love ones brother, hoping for his betterment, and even preferring him to one's own self.
