I thought this was the last book in the series and imagine my surprise when I read the second epilogue and realized there is another book in the series. Imagine my surprise when I realize my favorite FMC in the book is set up for failure in the next book.

I will never not think authors HATE their first FMCs in a book series. I am so angry right now
