Hello, Richard: Did you know Orson Welles' parents were friends with Booth Tarkington? That's one reason he decided to film THE MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS.

Obviously, I'd already seen the film, although I think the plot lines for the film and book diverge fairly substantially.
