This is doing nothing for me. I’m soldiering through, and I am holding out hope that it’ll crack open for me still eventually, but I don’t really enjoy spending time with the character(s) nor do I like the crude hypersexuality in the dialogue. Not yet tempted to DNF but I am growing a little weary, with something like 5 hours left to go.

I’m still open to the possibility that it will wow me eventually, but a quarter of the way in and so far I haven’t been especially moved, nor do I understand why the audiobook was recommended specifically. Withholding judgment for now, though, on the assumption that it will kick into higher gear as it goes. Fingz xd.

Started as my latest audiobook, based on Becky’s reccy-mendation. I haven’t been IMMEDIATELY impressed but obviously I’ve hardly gotten into the book yet so hold my horses. Stay tuned for more updates over the next several weeks as I listen to this in tiny bits while driving.
