Main story finished, only the extra chapters left. I already have a review written but I’ll post it once I’m fully done with everything

Final two chapters of the main story, the rest is extras. I will leave it for tomorrow, I’m too sleepy for something so intense. Not that the last five chapters weren’t insanely intense… damn.

I’m like 10 chapters away from the end of the main story but I don’t want it to end aaaaaaa

“I will live to ninety-nine, and you can live to ninety-seven.” (I keep forgetting Jiang Ting is two years older than Yan Xie…)

As romantic as it is, all this talk about either dying together or growing old together THIS close to the finale makes me worry so much omg D: this is the kind of shit characters that are about to die say

“You love me, you desperately struggle to protect me, don’t you think I want to protect you too? I want to return from the battlefield hand in hand with you, or at the very least, die side by side on the battlefield. Don’t you understand, Jiang Ting? Have I ever left you behind?”

🥲 I can’t believe I ever disliked Yan Xie ❤️‍🩹

I like how Yan Xie solves his problems by throwing his money at it or reminding people of how much his family has invested in the country. Or by having his mother threaten everyone with her connections. Or by having his father just flat out buy entire companies. Wealth is a superpower :D

Only about 25 chapters of the main story left. I will try to finish it this weekend - the weather will be straight out of hell, so I’ll just sit in front of my fan and read. But on the other hand I don’t want it to end yet :(
