DNF: There is something in Thomson’s writing that doesn’t sit well. There is a paragraph where he makes comments Bush being ‘ unique among female songwriters in that her cannon contains not a single song that puts down, castigates or generally gives men the brush off’ He goes on to says ‘She has never been a feminist in the bluntest sense…’ which suggests Thomson isn’t all that keen on feminists!
