I have always wanted to go to Trieste because it sounds like tristesse, which is a light-hearted word, even though in French it means sadness.

Just like Swimming Home, reading Deborah Levy feels like summer to me, and I am glad I managed to wait reading 'Hot milk' until now, on the train on holiday - it's such a delight!
