There was a part about “mouse in the house”, but it doesn’t make sense. This is a prequel, Joe is seventeen. He himself said in the last book (which is set in the future so obviously he is much older) that he got that idea from doctor Nicky in You (Book 1), which he also used in his own book he wrote in For You and Only You (Book 4) and he had a fit that his love interest stole the idea and put in her book.
