At this point I’m confused at who the ‘why choose’ is referring to. Alexis morbid and sarcastic internal monologue continues to have me in stitches 🤣 a lot of the focus is on Alexis just surviving but im interested to see where the story goes. There’s a lot to me revealed in terms of plot.

Alexis internal monologue is exactly that of a 19 year old - morbid, pessimistic and sarcastic. Her early years of abuse and neglect pulled on my heartstrings in a way very few books have. And her instinct to protect those she loves is awe inspiring. Sometimes her internal thoughts and tendency to focus on the wrong details in any given situation makes me question her brain functions 🤣
