I'm disappointed. A lot. Ligotti isn't as brilliant as I was led to believe, but I'm pushing on and will withhold my final judgement for now.

Oh and his style sucks! I mean, Lovecraft sometimes annoyed me with his purple prose, but wow, now that I've read Ligotti, Lovecraft was actually reasonable in his use of such.

Also, Vandermeer is pretentious as all fucks and I'm glad I've been avoiding his books.
