The hunger games / war games set up is irking me pace wise. Also why is there casual SA going on to female characters in a YA novel ?!?

I'm hoping this will help me break my post-degree reading slump with anything that isn't a romance I can read in one sitting. I also recommended it to my dad before starting it and did not realize it was YA 🤦
