Hera is so mischievous lol and Zeus just spoiled the whole book and it's just so good to know that these men are faded and have no other choice than to follow the whims of the immortals.

Troy is at its highest moment of the war, I think. Hector is really a great warrior and Aquilles' heart is still filled with grudge against Agamemnon and honestly it makes the story so much better. Ulisses and Diomedes are in trouble, but they'll be fine...

Ulysses and Diomedes prove themselves to be very efficient as a duo. Loving the scenes where the generals are discussing about the war, very exciting compared to all the fighting in the beggining of this book, honestly! It is awesome the how the sacrifices to Athena throughout this book. In the end, they washed the sweat and blood and tears, and the waves are told the resposbile for refreshing their hearts. Cute 5/5

Book X. Aquiles was so bitter... It was awesome to see all princes between the achaeans pleasing for help knowing that they needed Aquiles to win, but my beloved warrior was so mistreated in the first Book. Nice reading.

Book 5 is an amalgam of Glory & Gore. Some sick scenes here 😮‍💨

Okay, I'm really feeling the powerful translation at play. Believing in the greek pantheon while reading is essential to grasp the faith, moral and etics involving the conflicts in the text. I wish I had the physical version to do some notes in the pages, It is hard to keep what's happening if you take breaks.

The first chant is incredible. The translation that I'm reading is the Greek to Portuguese from Frederico Lourenço, what a professional. The text is easy to read almost like a laminar fluid dynamics. Agamemnon and Achilles are great characters and I can feel the divine when Athena enters the room. Epic. EPIC. Can't believe that took me this long to start.
