Oh, the idea of conditional love and worth. If I was considering somebody as a partner and this came out of their mouth, I would never speak to them again. Clearly, when I got sick, they would leave. It's just a really gross mindset.
I hope she redeems herself later in the book because right now, I hope she ends up alone and miserable.
