I’m 54% in and struggling. The thriller hook that drew me in has completely disappeared, and now it’s just endless lust scenes. If your life is in danger, why is lust the only focus? The suspense is gone, and it’s making the book hard to finish.

I’m not liking this book so far. The thriller setup at the beginning was amazing, but it’s completely faded. Where did suspense go? Now it just feels like a bunch of people lusting over each other.

Agreed!! He’s the MMC so I’m really hoping the author is going to give us something other than him craving the FMC because she’s “forbidden” 😩

Exactly. That was my initial expectation when I picked up this book. I mean I get it. It’s dark romance but come on, where that thriller element? 54% in and I’m struggling.
