everyone is horrified by this novel but i just want to point out that most of these things happened to black people during slavery btw. and marcos, you're the worst type of "master" bcs these types genuinely think that they are doing a sort of "service" to them by "treating them like a human". and they will be so furious if she actually starts to behave like a human...i hope she eats him alive, literally

i went in expecting it to fully and only be about veganism, the wrong in meat consumption and all, but really i'm picking up a great read about the power of words & their meanings and the collective choice and linguistic power to "bestow" humanity onto another
