The way Whitney transcribes Ravens grief as well as Zekes grief and guilt for how everything played out and his reasons for keeping it from Raven has me sympathizing as if a close friend or family member were experiencing these feelings and hardships. The rawness and vulnerability that Zeke shows is not typical for how MMCs in other romantasy books show their feelings, but man I am HERE for it. Incredible writing.
