This is an author that I love. “Middlesex” is up there with my favorite books, the only one I have read twice.
The first 50 pages of this are a bit pretentious, I felt like I was not smart enough to read it,like I was sitting in a class by mistake; everything was over my head. I stopped and looked things up. I started over twice.
