Another author on my long list of "been meaning to check out"

I’m nearing the end of book 4 of these series, so it’s premature to say anything comprehensive, but I’m extraordinarily impressed by it so far. Book three may be the best modern fantasy book I’ve ever read. Ive heard that it sticks the landing with the final books also.

They were on my TBR for a decade and I bounced off book one twice, but once I finished book two it’s been an addiction.
