The Seven of Spades series by Cordelia Kingsbridge is quite similar to this, I think! A whole series of antagonistic, enemies to lovers crime solving partners in gritty Las Vegas. Starts with Kill Game, and it was on Kobo Plus when I read it!

Randomly paranormal, but Drop Dead Gorgeous by S.H. Azanon. Werewolf detective + incubus dancer. Interesting noir setting, and so spicy! 😍

Death and the Devil series by L.J. Hayward. Starts with Where Death Meets the Devil. Might also be on Kobo Plus! I forget!

Maverick Insurance Mysteries series by M.J. May. Starts with No Good Deed. This one has a bit of humor in it, but it's an unusual take on the crime thriller category!
