second half is much better than the first

okay I’m kind of vibing with it now only took like half the book😭

okay first few pages of part 2 and I can tell that it’s starting to get good now, part 1 was a bit rough🥴

boring. yawning. sloppy. okay not “sloppy” I kind of like the writing but the only reason I’m not dnf-ing is because I’ve seen reviews that say the second half is where it starts to get better because so far it’s just a whole lotta farm culture and a whole lotta nothing of what I thought this book was gonna be😭🙏

I have no idea what this book is trying to be, and I don’t think it knows either. we were introduced to our main characters + Mary (love interest) in the first chapter, and then we just went into a whole different direction and it’s been like thirty pages of some stupid lamb contest or some shi

just started this, and usually when im only a few pages into a book, the very first thing I notice is if I will enjoy the writing or now. and the answer is…maybe? im conflicted
