I first read this series about 20 years ago. I remember some big plot points, and one of the big spoilers that happened I thought happened later in the series, but nope. It happens in the first book. And even knowing it was coming it still hit me in the feelers.

I’m enjoying this quite a lot, and I like it more now more than when I first read it.
