Pretty sure this book and therefore this first trilogy is about to end, after what ai never could do. I am sad. So much has happened. But just as Fitz said, no one was to blame, but no one was blameless. It had to happen, apparently. So grateful for the depths and all the life I got to experience with these first books and I feel like, I have to read it all over again to fill gaps, that would now close.

A sudden realization that really strikes me. This person identifies as a sacrifice to this realm. So I understand, but it just makes me sad and I understand his wife even more... I hope it doesn't come to that.
