Well the set-up seemed interesting (I've had it on my bookshelf for ages) ... but the first section is almost comically dull, mostly through lack of material from Darwin himself and the lack of features and character in the Patagonian coastline. I'm hopeful for more from Darwin and Simons in part 2!

ps. section 2 has started better with quote from Douglas Adams in the dreary British weather, some humour, and a peek into Darwin's life before - aged just 22 - he set off on a 5-year round the world surveying voyage.
