I’m glad Thio’s attempt to quit the masters program failed (he deserved his degree), but their makeup at his mom’s nursing car facility was fine. Then 4 year later epilogue was so not amazing: Seb got the great job he wanted, Thio went to become an RN? (After being qualified for PhD?) The lawsuit was won against Thio’s family for the military camp so they got engaged? Happy they are happy but so-so ending.

Seb solved Thio’s research problem (that can be weaponized by his family), they got in a fight but not totally about that, and now Seb’s spiraling. I don’t get why — the author skipped some steps and I didn’t follow. Seb is scared to be in love but how is that the biggest issue? Thio wants to release the evil project.

Holy crap, chapter 15 was something else. Read that again. And happy they seem to be falling in love, too, not just lust.

This camp trauma is really something! Not sure we even need to know what happened. Seb is still wishy washy but after panic attack at Founders Day competition, he asked Thio out on a real date.

They hooked up and it was hot. But before that, Thio overheard Seb’s dad and knows about Camp Merethyl and knows about its atrocities.

I love that Seb kissed him without realizing it when Thio solved his research problem, giving him such relief.

Lots of back and forth but obvi Thio is attracted to Seb. Also, more history being revealed: Torael family tortured Seb and Orok for four summers at the Camp.

Nope, not hate Touraels, but admire and envy them. Seb hates his dad and him about to work with Elethoir will make the dad “proud.”

What happened at Camp Merethyl (run by the Touraels)? Something made Seb’s parents hate Touraels and Orok to drop out of being an Arcane soldier and go into academia (which his parents hate).
