I need to stop taking chances on books recommended to me through the internet. This was described as “god-tier” and it’s actual literal inane garbage.

It’s almost impossible to find decent romance anymore that isn’t just base level shallow lustful drivel.

It’s not engaging when you don’t care about a single character. It’s not engaging when I’m so busy cringing I can’t even keep reading.
