Jamiah Reed’s Reviews > The Handmaid's Tale > Status Update

So far...this is book is causing emotional damage. " She doesn't make speeches anymore. She has become speechless. " I mean it's no secret women have always been oppressed but, the way this world is described and the rules/roles for women are truly insane. The job of a handmaid is disgusting but, like the author said everything that has happened in this book has happened before.
