Albeit depressing and mind numbing, the way the author expresses the doings of war is very enlightening. It really provides a perspective especially with a side that is clearly evil based on their actions for conquering alone. Question now is would the empire have carried out the same or similar atrocities if they had an upper hand. It is war and hypotheticals cannot be certain. Also the empress is likely a traitor.

Rin and Atlan are definitely going to have opposing ideals at some point.

I am worried Jiang is part of the Opera movement considering the religious mentions over and over, is there going to be a teacher-student betrayal on the horizon?
