starting to think the kids are only there so that the adults can have educational exposition and explaing things to the audience without talking down to other adults/scientists. there is A LOT OF THAT. there was not that much know-it all behavior in the first book. everything flowed well with dinosaur observations coming out of attacks. this focuses on dinosaur behavior so i understand a different apporach is needed.

sarah is my favorite at this point. her work with actual LIVE, CURRENT, MODERN, animals on the african savannas brings a lot to how she seems them, as modern-enough creatures not just ghosts of the past.

oh why oh why did they have to include KIDSSS or like make them a background character. why give a whole chapter and their dialouge is so unnatural and kids teasing cause you were smart is so deluded no kids tease because of that.

malcolm wasn't as big of role in the first book then what they are giving him now. here is grant ? ellie? do they have nothing to add? i think bringing at least one more, since everyone else from the first movie is killed off, would have added a lot more to the mystery in which the audience knows more than the main character / levin.
