According to Goodreads, I read this in 2019 and in 2025. Since I don’t backdate my reading history to before I started using the website, it doesn’t show that I originally read it in 1989.
I know it is a problematic book in its representation of slavery and The Lost Cause, but it’s one of my favorites and I consider it to be THE greatest American novel ever written.
