I don't think I'm going to finish this. Switching from first to third person pov is one thing, but simultaneously switching the tense as well? For no apparent reason? Irritating. So irritating. I have to recalibrate my brain every new chapter. Just... why?

Also, I'm a spiritual person, but I don't particularity like it in my fiction. It can be done well, but usually it feels so unnatural and awkward; disingenuous.
